Bowling Season Is Underway - Volunteers Needed

Athletes across Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC) have been training for months, and bowling season is ready to begin.

The first competitions take place July 18 in Orange County and Pomona Valley, kicking off several weeks of competition across five regions  leading up to the 2026 Bowling Championship on August 22. From first-time competitors to seasoned bowlers, every frame is an opportunity to build confidence, sharpen skills, form friendships, and experience the joy of sports.

We are excited to invite you to join us for our upcoming Bowling Competitions, where your involvement makes these events truly special for our bowlers.

Our LA North Bowling Competition (Northridge) is scheduled for July 25th from 9:15AM to 1:00PM at Back Alley Bowling - Northridge, and our Santa Clarita Valley Bowling Competition will take place on August 1st at Valencia Lanes, with both AM and PM shifts available. Our biggest need is for Lane Monitors and Lane Supervisors; these roles involve guiding bowlers through their frames and ensuring they have a wonderful experience throughout the competition. If you are new to these roles, we provide day-of training and ongoing support to help you feel confident and prepared.

To sign up for a shift, please visit the links below and select your preferred competition. We’d love to have you join us and help create a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Thank you so much for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you on the lanes!
